Podcasts

In May 2006, about a year after the rise of podcasting as a new broadcast medium, Derek Russell, Tucker Colburn, and myself put our minds together and started up our first podcast. The popularity and audience growth were so dramatic that we branched out and started more podcasts. In the 3 years since, we’ve grown an audience of more than 15,000 weekly listeners, cultivated an online community of more than 3,000 members and we maintain websites that generate more than 10,000 hits per day.

The 10th Wonder Podcast

heroespodcastjpg The 10th Wonder podcast is our most popular show. Shortly after launching in October 2006, it rocketed to the top of iTunes serving as the #1 Heroes podcast in terms of popularity and downloads and it has held that position ever since. The 10th also shows up frequently on the iTunes Top 100 podcasts chart and is a featured podcast on the front page of the iTunes TV & Film podcasts homepage. The 10th is currently hosted by myself and Derek Russell.

Starkville’s “House of El” Podcast

shoe-aac_-episode-113-_power_jpg Our first weekly podcast dedicated to the WB/CW series “Smallville.” Smallville was the perfect show to focus our initial podcasting efforts on. We learned new things at every turn, and I’d say it prepared us for launching our other shows. Eventually the popularity of the podcast caught the attention of the Smallville cast & crew and we were featured on the Season 6 DVD as a part of the “Smallville: Big Fans” featurette. The show is currently hosted by Derek Russell and Steve Glosson.

The SkyNext Terminator Podcast

snext1jpgSkyNext was our third weekly podcast. Currently hosted by Derek Russell and Steve Glosson, it focuses on the FOX Terminator series “The Sarah Connnor Chronicles” it quickly became our second most popular podcast and gained lightning fast support from the fans and the creators of the FOX television series. SkyNext frequently appears alongside the 10th Wonder on the iTunes featured Film & TV podcasts homepage.
